Daphne Mashile Nkosi : Executive Chairperson

Daphne is the executive Chairperson of Kalagadi Manganese.
She is also the Executive Chairperson and founder of Kalahari Resources and holds
a number of positions in other companies such as:

She was directly involved in the successful structuring of Cell C,
the third mobile network operator in South Africa. She has a background in the banking,
politics and gender issues.

Daphne Mashile-Nkosi

Founder and chairperson of Kalagadi Manganese in 2001. A mining company which produces 3 mtpa of Manganese ore. She was directly involved in the successful structuring of Cell C, the third mobile network operator in South Africa. She has a background in banking, politics, and gender issues. She is also the founder and patron of the Stanley and Daphne Nkosi Foundation

Frans Baleni

Msokoli Frans Baleni is a South African businessman and former trade unionist who was general secretary of the National Union of Mineworkers between 2006 and 2015. Since 2007, he has been a member of the Central Committee of the South African Communist Party.

Adv Kgomotso Ditsebe Moroka

Advocate Kgomotso Moroka was a member of the Judicial Services Commission for 15 years. She has played leadership roles across different industries and has served as a non-executive director on boards of blue-chip companies. She was currently a trustee of the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund and the Apartheid Museum.

Lindani Mthwa

He is a co-founder and Executive Chairperson of Siyanda Resources. The company has grown from the value of R3m in 2003 to over R400m to date. Lindani co-established interests at Koornfontein Coal, Eloff, DMS, Masa, Kalahari and Kangwane Anthracite mines

Dr. Sibongile Vilakazi

Dr Sibongile Vilakazi, is a Research Psychologist with a PhD in Organizational Development and Diversity Management. She completed her PhD at Wits Business School (WBS) in 2015 and joined WBS as a faculty member in 2017 teaching on Strategy. She is currently chairperson of the board for the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency and she is also the president of Black Management Forum

Akona Gazi-Babana

Akona Gazi-Babana is a senior lecturer and programme director for BCTA at the University of Johannesburg, she received the Influence award at the Top 35-under-35 ceremony. Akona Gazi-Babana is a qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA). She obtained her PGDA degree at the University of Cape Town and completed her articles at Deloitte in 2012. She holds a Master’s Degree in Development Finance from the University of Stellenbosch. Akona discovered her passion for academia during her undergraduate studies where she was involved is many tutoring and mentorship initiatives. In 2018 Akona joined the Department of Accountancy of the University of Johannesburg as a Senior Lecturer for Accounting.

Mangisi Gule

Mangisi Gule was appointed as an executive director in 2004, chief executive of ARM Platinum in 2005 and chief executive of ARM Coal from 2007 to 2012. He served as executive director: corporate affairs until 2013 and has been a non-executive director of the company since 2013. Mangisi has extensive experience in management, training, human resources, communications, corporate affairs and business development. Apart from his academic qualification in business management, he has proven experience in leadership and mentorship. He has been a lecturer, chairman of professional bodies and a member of various executive committees and associations. He has also been an executive director of ARMgold and Harmony.

Lizeka Matshekga

She is Head Implementation at Harith General Partners. She is the former Divisional Executive responsible for the Agro Industries, Industrial Infrastructure and New Industries sector business units.
